The Furniture Bank is Now Part of Holy Trinity's Outreach Ministry!

Formerly associated with MOVE (Manasquan  Area Organization of Volunteer Efforts), we have been in operation for almost four years, since Superstorm Sandy devastated the shore.  We find people with good quality used furniture and  match it with people who need it.  Then we pick it up from the donor and deliver it to the client.  No money changes hands, and we do not do paperwork.  To date we have helped more than 600 families.  While we still have some Sandy clients, most current clients fit into the category of the disadvantaged – the disabled, the elderly, battered women, the homeless, single parents, the working poor, etc.  Agencies from all over Monmouth and Ocean County refer clients to us.

How can you help?  Spread the word.  We always need furniture.  If you are getting new furniture, selling your home, or notice that your neighbor is selling their home, you can call us.  You will be helping someone, and you will receive a donation form for tax purposes.  We especially need living room furniture, sofas, love seats, recliners, kitchen or dining room tables and chairs, beds, sheets, blankets, comforters, pots & pans, flatware, small kitchen appliances like coffee pots, microwaves and toasters, end tables, coffee tables, dressers and night stands, lamps, etc.

If you have any of these items, or if you’d like to volunteer with us (especially if you have a truck), please contact Cynthia Mussinan.
