Then I saw another angel flying in midheaven, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation and tribe and language and people.

Revelation 14:6

I look at this verse and my first thought is we are like this angel but instead of being in mid heaven we are right here on earth proclaiming the gospel. We are all God’s little angels flying around spreading the message.

Take for example these email devotions. They are spreading the message all over the world through something as simple as emails. I live in England and receive these devotions every day in my mailbox from half way across the world. I remember hearing a year or two ago that the emails were even going to such places as Iraq through members of the church that were in the military. It amazes me that something so simple that starts out as thoughts on someone's computer can be across the world in seconds.

Some people like myself find the need to go across the world to spread the gospel but others of us do it right on our front doorsteps. In this verse it challenges us to proclaim the gospel all over the earth. The earth is a mighty big place but if each one of us were to share the gospel with our neighbor and they were to share it with their neighbor imagine how fast the gospel could spread.

An easy way to share the gospel is to simply hit the forward button on this email and all the other devotions that find their way to your email inbox every day. Forward these devotions to a friend in the next city or a friend all the way across the world. Do your part in spreading the gospel to every nation and tribe and language and people!

Wouldn’t it be fun to find out where all these emails are actually going to and seeing how far across the world people of Holy Trinity are spreading the gospel. Wouldn’t it be amazing if these devotions actually went to all 50 states and all 7 continents!

Dear Lord,

We ask you to give us the courage and wisdom to be little angels in this world and spread your gospel to all the earth. Amen.
